Turid Knaak is a new Wolfsburg player. The German midfielder signed a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The 30-year-old played in Atlético Madrid in the last season and joins the most successful German team on a free transfer. Knaak has vast experience from the Bundesliga, with more than 226 matches in the German top flight during her time with Duisburg, Essen and Bayer Leverkusen. In 2009 and 2010 she won DFB Pokal with Duisburg. In the last season with Atlético, she played in 26 matches in Liga Iberdrola and won the Spanish Super cup with Colchonere.
“I am very happy to sign with VfL Wolfsburg – one of the biggest clubs in European women’s football. I want to play for titles with VfL and win as many as possible. I am really looking forward to this challenge. I already know some of my new teammates from the national team and know that I’m coming to a good environment here. I can’t wait to start with the team soon now,” Knaak said.
