Wolfsburg win DFB Pokal!

Wolfsburg win DFB Pokal and completes their domestic double after winning Frauen Bundesliga. In the final, the Wolves defeated Turbine Potsdam by 4-0.

Wolfsburg did most of the work already in the first half. Ewa Pajor scored the opener after 11 minutes, when she headed the ball in after the corner kick. The Polish international added a second one in the 33rd minute. Similarly, the cross came from the right side, Pajor was again the highest in the area and doubled the lead. Just before the break, Turbine’s defence poorly cleared another cross, only for Jill Roord to get the ball and sent it into the net with a low strike. Wolfsburg was a much better team and could easily add more on the scoreboard. The second half was just a formality. In the 69th minute, Dominique Janssen scored a free-kick from the edge of the box. Another title for Wolfsburg, who are undoubtedly the best team in Germany at the moment.
