Alexia Putellas renews with Barcelona and will stay in Catalunya for three more years, until June 2024.
The 27-year-old Blaugrana captain has been with the club since 2012. With 352 appearances, she is the fourth on the all-time standings with the most appearances for Blaugrana. She also has second most goals with 152. In the last season, the Spanish international winger was one of the key players for the historic triple. Alexia also scored in the Women’s Champions League final, where Barcelona won against Chelsea. She was also named UEFA Best midfielder of the season and won the Best player of the year award.
