Amanda Sampedro transfers to Sevilla from a fellow Liga Iberdrola side, Atletico Madrid. She penned a two-year deal.
The 29-year-old Madrid native is Atletico Madrid legend. She spent the whole career in the Spanish capital and made over 300 appearances for Rojablancas. The Spanish midfielder captained and led the team to three consecutive Liga Iberdrola titles between 216 and 2019. Sampedro is also a regular in the Spanish national team with over 50 caps. Looking to switch the team for the first time in her career, she joins Sevilla, which already signed Eva Llamas, Arola Aparicio, and Cristina Martin-Prieto.
“I have lived my entire childhood at Atlético de Madrid, I grew up there and I am very grateful and will be for life. From minute one I was motivated by the desire that the people at the club had for me to be here and from there to achieve great things. I think that Sevilla has all the conditions on a sporting and non-sporting level to be a big club and fight to be at the top,” said Sampedro.
