Andrea Marrero pens a new deal with Granadilla Tenerife and will stay with the club for two and a half more years, until June 2025.
The 26-year-old has played for Granadilla for the major part of her career. The Spanish defender made her way to the first team through the club’s academy ranks. In the last season, she suffered a knee injury, thus mostly played in the Spanish second division to slowly return to the rhythm. In the current season, Marrero made 7 appearances in Liga F.
“We have an important base of players from the islands and it is a source of pride that UDG Tenerife bets on local players, when you arrive here you know that the door to the first team is open and that if you win it on the pitch, you will have opportunities,” said Marrero.
