Andrea Medina joins Atlético Madrid

Andrea Medina joins Atlético Madrid from a fellow Liga Iberdrola side, Real Betis. She penned a four-year contract.

The 18-year-old has debuted on senior level with Real Betis at age of 15. The Spanish defender already has plenty of experience in Liga Iberdrola despite her youth. In total, she played 46 matches in the Spanish top flight, 27 in the last season. In Atlético, she joins Eva Navarro, Ainhoa Moraza, Cinta Rodriguez, Andrea Staškova,x, Merle Barth and Irene Guerrero as the newest summer arrival.

“I am very excited and happy that a club like Atlético de Madrid has bet on me, and I hope to be able to repay them with hard work and effort,” said Medina.
