Barcelona renew with coach Lluís Cortés after reaching his second Women’s Champions League final.
Just a few days after semi-final success against PSG, Barcelona announced that Lluis Cortes will stay on Blaugrana’s bench also in the next season with an option for an additional year. The 34-year-old took over in 2019 when he replaced Fran Sanchez. Under his guidance, Barça have reached the first two finals of the Champions League, won Liga Iberdrola League, Spanish cup and Spanish Super Cup. In this season, Barcelona is yet to drop any points in Liga Iberdrola. Blaugrana has also improved the record for goals scored in a season with more than 10 games to go.
“With the same enthusiasm as on the first day. Very beautiful things are to come, and we will continue to work to make it happen. Thank you,” said Lluis Cortes.
