Barcelona is Spanish cup champion! A 3-0 win guaranteed Blaugrana their seventh Copa de la Reina which puts them in the lead of the all-time leaderboard of competition. The Catalan side gave Logroño no chance and was already decided after an hour of play with goals from Alexia, Aitana Bonmatí, and Jenni Hermoso.
Barça took the game very seriously from the beginning. But despite the possession, Logroño’s defence managed to avoid any serious troubles, and it looked like the first half would end goalless. But in 42nd minute Alexia found herself in the box after throw in, Logroño’s centerback unnecessarily tripped her and the referee pointed to the spot. Alexia herself took the responsibility and put Barcelona in the lead. Just two minutes later, Aitana Bonatí doubled the lead with solo action. She took the ball down the centre, cut inside and fired a well-placed shot past the goalkeeper.

Despite Logroño trying to change their approach in the second half, Barça kept pushing and looking for the third goal. Another long-range effort from Guijarro almost surprised Pamela Tajonar, who caught the ball on the line. But Tajonar couldn’t do anything after a header from Jenni Hermoso who put the last nail in the coffin and decided the final. Barcelona wasn’t stopping and also scored the 4th goal which was disallowed due to foul on Pamela Tajonar. Alexia’s shot got denied by crossbar, so the score stayed 3-0 and Barcelona celebrated their 7th Cup title.
