Belén Martínez and Yeni Giménez extend with Villarreal and will stay with the club at least until the end of the next season.
The 33-year-old has played for various Spanish clubs, including Llanos de Olvenza, Caceres and Santa Teresa, before joining Villarreal before the start of the season. The Spanish forward established herself as one of the key players and made 30 appearances in the recently-finished season of Liga Iberdrola. Martinez signed a one-year deal, with an option for an additional year.
“I am super happy and excited to continue with this great club. For me, Villareals is like a big family. I feel at home,” said Martinez.
Yeni Giménez extended the contract with the Yellow submarine as well. The Venezuelan defender, who played 14 matches in the recently-finished season, signed a contract until the end of the next season.
“It is very nice and special to be part of this team and this great family. I feel at home,” added Gimenez.
. The club has also renewed contracts with Elena de Toro, Irene Miguélez and Vera Rico recently.
