Cristian Toro stays on Sevilla bench

Cristian Toro stays on Sevilla bench for one more season after extending his contract with the club.

The 41-year-old coach took over Sevilla in December 2018, when he replaced Paco García and Sergio Jiménez. He finished 10th in his first season with the club. On Saturday, he will lead Sevilla for the 78th time in the last game of the season. Andalusian club can finish on the 8th place if they win against Espanyol and Valencia doesn’t beat Real Sociedad. Argentinian coach signed a contract until summer of 2022.

“I feel very comfortable, the club is an ideal place to work and develop within a project. We are growing every year and the truth is that I’m looking forward to this evolution being reflected more and more on the pitch, to be a team that plays an increasingly important role, that fights every year to be higher and that the people feel more and more represented by this women’s team,” Toro said.
