Emma Holmgren transfers to Levante

Emma Holmgren transfers to Levante UD, joining the club from Olympique Lyon. She penned a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old spent most of her career playing in Allsvenskan, where she wore jerseys of Gamla Upsala, Vaksala, Sirius, Hammarby IF, Linköpings FC, Uppsala and Ekilstuna United. In 2021, she signed for Lyon, where she was mostly a substitute goalkeeper. In two seasons with the French champions, Holmgren played 8 matches.

“I am happy and can’t wait to play for Levante,” added Holmgren, who becomes fifth newcomer for Granotas, joining Daniela Arques, Ángela Sosa, Gabi Nunes and Anna Torroda.
