Francis Diaz stays on Granadilla’s bench

Francis Diaz stays on Granadilla’s bench after he extended with the Canary Island club for another season.

Diaz led the club to 18 wins, 7 draws and 12 defeats in Liga Iberdrola. In the current season, they have already matched their highest number of points with 54, with two games still to play. As a reward, Francis Diaz was given a one-year contract extension.

“Renewing my contract is a confirmation of the idea, of the work and effort made. I am very happy and excited to continue to be in the club. I have been imbued with that blue and white feeling and what it means to defend these colours. We hope that next season we can be closer to what I consider to be the best fans in the world. We feel very close to them,” added Díaz.
