Francis Díaz takes over Real Betis, where he will stay in charge of the next two seasons. The Spanish coach moves to Seville from UDG Tenerife.
The 50-year-old previously coached Raqui San Isidro, CD San Lorenzo and TNK Vera. Tenerife native spent last two years and a half as a head coach of the Canary Islands club and led Granadilla to a 5th place finish in the last season of Liga Iberdrola and semi-finals of Copa de la Reina. He left UDG Tenerife at the beginning of the month.
“We are going to build a team that transmits enthusiasm, where people leave everything on the pitch for the thirteen stripes. I’m very happy and excited and I can’t wait to get started,” added Diaz.
