Fridolina Rölfo joins FC Barcelona

Fridolina Rölfo joins FC Barcelona after a move from Vfl Wolfsburg. She signed a two-year contract with Blaugrana.

After the arrival of Ingrid Engen yesterday, Barcelona announced another Scandinavian signing. The 27-year-old Swedish midfielder arrived to Spain from Wolfsburg. Prior to Wolfsburg, she played for FC Bayern München and finished 2nd in Bundesliga in every season with the Bavarians. Later, she moved to their rivals, Wolfsburg, and won the Bundesliga in the 2019/20 season. Her contract expired, and she joins Barcelona on a free transfer.

“I think physically I can help the team. I am a fast player, with a good one on one skills and I hope to contribute a lot in attack. I hope to enjoy playing the Spanish league, but also the Champions League. It is a great challenge. I am very happy to be part of the team and I hope you can enjoy me and the team,” said Rölfo.
