Gemma Font extends with Barcelona

Gemma Font extends with Barcelona and will stay in the Catalan capital for two more years, until June 2024.

The 22-year-old made her way up the youth ranks and was number one between the post for Barcelona B team. In 2021, the Spanish goalkeeper debuted in Liga Iberdrola against Rayo Vallecano. Usually a substitute goalkeeper for more experienced Sandra Panos, Font made 13 appearances for Blaugrana so far.
“I am gradually getting more playing time and most of all, learning a lot from team mates Paños and Cata and goalkeeping coach Oriol. They teach me so much and I am so grateful. My dream was to win the Champions League and now I need to keep developing at the club and trying to get more playing time,” added Font.
