Gerardo García replaces Francis Díaz on Betis bench on a deal until the end of the current season.
The 48-year-old Seville native already has first managerial experience from Liga F, when he was in charge of EDF Logrono for two seasons between 2019 and 2021. A series of bad results caused the termination of Francis Diaz contract, who took over the club last summer. Betis are currently on the 14th place and haven’t won since last December. Garcia will have a lot of work to avoid relegation in the upcoming months.
“I come with a lot of desire to get the most out of the players and hoping to get the maximum out of this team,” said Garcia.
