Ingrid Engen is the first Barcelona newcomer

Ingrid Engen is the first Barcelona newcomer for the new season. She signed a contract until June 2023.

The 23-year-old is joining Blaugrana from Wolfsburg, where she spent the last two years. The Norwegian midfielder played in the 2020 Women’s Champions League final with the German team, but lost against Olympique Lyon. For the Norwegian international with more than 30 caps, this will be her second spell abroad.

“It means a lot to me. I am very proud and to be here today is a dream come true. Barcelona is the best team in the world because of the way they play and everything they have won – I can’t wait to be part of this group!. I like to have the ball in my feet, so I think I can fit in well with Barça’s style,” Engen said.
