Iraia Iparraguirre and Maddi Torre renew with Real Sociedad. Both players extended their contracts for an additional year, until the end of the next season.
The 26-year-old Iparraguirre joined Real Sociedad in 2015 from Añorga KKE. Since then, the Basque Country native made over 80 appearances for the club, 11 in the current Liga Iberdrola season. “Playing for Real Sociedad was a dream, and it has become a reality, and I am very proud,” the Spanish defender added.
Maddi Torre played for Athletic Club, Santa Teresa CD and Real Betis before signing for her hometown club, Real Sociedad, in 2018. The 25-year-old defender played in 12 matches in the current season. The Basque Country club is currently on the second place, behind Barcelona, who has already won the title. “It is important for the club to have home-grown players, and we hope to achieve our objectives together,” said Torre.
