Irene Miguélez and Vera Rico sign new deals with Villarreal

Irene Miguélez and Vera Rico sign new deals with Villarreal and will stay with the Yellow Submarine for two more years, until June 2024.

The 17-year-old rose through the academy ranks of Villarreal and has already established herself as a regular. Despite her youth, the Spanish defender has already played 16 appearances in the recently finished season of Liga Iberdrola.

“I am fulfilling a dream. Villarreal is the club of my life. One of my objectives is to continue to grow as a footballer with the help of Villarreal,” said Miguelez for the club’s tv.

Vera Rico is another talented midfielder who committed to the club until June 2024. The 17-year-old, who raised through Villarreal academy, made 11 appearances in the recently finished season of Liga Iberdrola.
