Keira Walsh transfers to Barcelona

Keira Walsh transfers to Barcelona from Manchester. Blaugrana paid the record transfer fee in the women’s football world to sign Walsh until June 2025.

The 25-year-old has played her whole career in the Women’s Super League with Manchester City. The English midfielder played over 100 matches for City since 2014 when she joined the club. Walsh was also one of the key players in England’s EURO title, having also won the Player of the match award in the final. Blaugrana, who already signed Salma Paralluelo, Geyse Ferreira, Laia Codina, Lucy Bronze and Nuria Rabano, paid over 400,000€ transfer fee which beats the previous record of Pernille’s Harder move to Chelsea from Wolfsburg.
