Levante took initiative in the first minutes of the match, as they they were favourites. But Riojans showed that they can be dangerous as well when Jade Boho Sayo tested goalkeeper Andrea Paraluta after a quick fast break. In 27th minute, Logrona was dangerous again. Sayo tried again but Paraluta did not manage to catch the shot and the rebound got to Cristina Pizarro who returned it back to the Hispanic-Ecuatoguinean, who scored for a surprising lead with a nice chip shot. However, the joy did not last long since just after the half time mark, the favourites from Valencia equalized with goal of Esther Navarro after a combination with Eva Navarro. 1-1 was a score at half-time.
