Lucy Bronze transfers to FC Barcelona on a free transfer after her contract expiration with Manchester City. She signed a two-year contract with Blaugrana.
The 30-year-old played for Sunderland, Everton and Liverpool before joining Manchester City for the first time in 2014. After over 30 appearances for the Citizens, the English full-back moved to France, where she signed with Lyon. In 2020, Bronze left France after three seasons and rejoined Manchester City. An experienced English international with over 80 caps recently announced that she won’t be extending her stay in Manchester. Bronze is the second Blaugrana summer arrival, joining Nuria Rábano.
“I’m very happy to play for a club like FC Barcelona, one of the biggest teams in the world. I really want to start working with the team. After a couple of conversations, you can’t say no to Barça,” said Bronze.
