María Pry steps down as Levante coach

María Pry steps down as Levante coach after leading Valencia based team to the 3rd place and Women’s Champions League qualifiers.

The 36-year-old coach took over Levante two years ago. She led Granotas to the Copa de la Reina final and Spanish Supercup final. In the Liga Iberdrola, Levante finished 3rd in the last season with 21 wins, 7 draws and 6 losses. They finished 4 points behind the 2nd place Real Madrid. On her blog, Pry said she is planning to return to the coaching business soon.

“The time has come to say goodbye to Levante UD. I have spent two years on a rollercoaster of emotions, but on a sporting level, they have been two very rewarding years. It’s not every season that you play two finals and get your team into the Champions League,” wrote Pry on her blog.
