María Ruiz signs for Sporting Huelva

María Ruiz signs for Sporting Huelva for the next season, joining the club from Deportivo La Coruna.

The 21-year-old started her senior career with Malaga CF, where she spent five seasons. Last year, the Spanish forward joined Deportivo in Reto Iberdrola. Ruiz was the club’s top goalscorer with 15 goals in the last season. Sporting Huelva have been very active on the transfer market, having already signed Stefanie da Eira, Laia Ballesté, Zala Meršnik, Sofia Hagman, Patrycja Balcerzak, Patrícia Hmírová and Laura Blasco.

“I’m coming with a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of excitement. I’ve heard very good things, it’s a very hard-working, very humble team, who work very hard,” said Ruiz.
