Marta Torrejón extends with Barcelona and will stay with Blaugrana for at least two more years, until June 2024.
The 32-year-old started her senior career with Barça’s city rivals, Espanyol, but soon moved to Barcelona. She has been with the club since 2013 and has since won four Liga Iberdrola titles, five Spanish cups and Women’s Champions League in the last season. 340 appearances put her on the fifth place in the all-time Barcelona standings. Apart from that, the Spanish full-back also scored 56 goals.
“I am very happy to be able to continue in this great club, to be able to play for all the titles of the season and to give the best of myself,” said Torrejon for the club’s tv.
Barcelona’s squad planning is in full swing. Mapi Leon extended her contract a couple of days ago, and we can expect some more renewals in the following weeks.
