More controversy with Rayo Vallecano

After controversial appointment of Carlos Santiso, it seems there is more controversy with Rayo Vallecano women’s team.

When the players, who live in the house rented by the club, woke up today, they were astonished to see that there was no electricity in the flat. After checking in with the electricity company, they were told that the bills had not been paid, thus the power were cut off. Cutting off the electricity all together is usually the last resort that electricity companies take, after various unpaid bills and warnings. Neglecting the lower categories of the club has been a standard Rayo’s practice recently since the club has financial problems. Players are threatening to go on a strike if the board will not improve their working and living conditions.

In the last season, the players were given just a sandwich with three slices of mortadella for the away trip against Levante. To add to that, the appointment of Carlos Santiso as a new coach few months ago, sparkled a lot of controversy due to his sexist remarks.
