The 30-year-old will enter her sixteenth season with the club. The Spanish forward is the youngest player in the organization to debut in Liga Iberdrola. Diez is also the club’s second all-time top scorer with 160 goals and fourth by matches played with 363. Together with Erika Vazquez, they are one of the most loyal players in the league.
On the other side, Sophie Istillart and Vanesa Gimbert announced they will retire at the end of the season. While the decision is not unexpected for the 42-year-old Gimbert, Istillart was forced to hang up her boots due to a knee injury.
