Paola Soldevila and Nerea Pérez extend with Villarreal

Paola Soldevila and Nerea Pérez extend with Villarreal and will stay with the Yellow submarine at least until the end of the next season.
The 25-year-old Soldevila played for Sant Gabriel, Real Sociedad and RCD Espanyol, before joining Villarreal last summer. She was the player that spent the most time on the pitch among all Villarreal players. The Catalan centre-back played in all 30 Liga Iberdrola matches in the last season.
“I was clear from the beginning that I wanted to continue with Villarreal. We are like a family here, which helps everyone who comes to play here. Next season is a new opportunity that we belong to Liga Iberdrola,” said Soldevila.

Nerea Pérez, 28 years old, has spent the majority of her career with Levante, for whom she played over 200 matches. After a brief spell with Santa Teresa, the Spanish midfielder arrived to Villarreal before the season. She made 26 appearances for the Yellow submarine.

“I enjoyed a lot in this season. I found myself in a very familiar club. I just want to continue enjoying and learning from other people in Villarreal,” said Perez.

Villarreal squad planning for the next season is in full swing. Cienfu, Belén Martínez, Yeni Giménez, Elena de Toro, Irene Miguélez and Vera Rico have all already renewed their contracts.
