Paola Soldevila renews with Villarreal and will stay with the club for two-and-a-half more years, until June 2026.
The 27-year-old played for Sant Gabriel, Real Sociedad and Espanyol before joining Villarreal in 2021. The Spanish defender is one of the most regularly used players in team, having played a total of 75 matches since her arrival.
Meanwhile, Virginia Torrecilla, who has been with the club since last year, announced her retirement from the professional football. The 29-year-old played for FC Barcelona, Montpellier HSC or Atlético de Madrid, and also wore the jersey of the Spanish National Team on multiple occasions. She won the battle against cancer and returned to football fields last year. She made 8 appearances for Villarreal.
