Priscila Borja retires after 20 years

Priscila Borja retires after 20-year-long career. She spent a most part of her career in Madrid, playing for Atlético.

In the last season, she wore Madrid CFF’s shirt and played in 32 games played, assisted 6 times and scored 8 goals. Madrid will finish on the 7th place in Liga Iberdrola. Originally from Sevilla, the 36-year-old debuted on senior level in 2001 with Hispalis. After that she played for Sabadell, Estudiantes, Puebla, Sporting de Huelva, Atlético de Madrid, Rayo Vallecano and Real Betis. She had two spells with Rojoblancos in Madrid, scoring almost 100 goals in more than 180 matches. Borja also has 25 caps for the Spanish National team between 2010 and 2015.

“I’ll remember everything I’ve enjoyed in football, all the friendships I’ve made, all the new “brother” and “sisters” I have, and to continue enjoying life, which is the most important thing,” Borja said on Twitter.
