Real Madrid sign Freja Olofsson

Real Madrid sign Freja Olofsson from the NWSL side, Racing Louisville.

The 24-year-old played in her homeland of Sweden for KIF Örebro and Arna-Bjørnar before making a move across the Atlantic and signing for Racing Louisville in 2021. After reduced playing time in the last season, the Swedish midfielder opted for the return to Europe, where she will play in Spain for the first time in her career.

“I felt like it was the right time to make this move. I am very happy and honoured to play for such a big club,” said Olofsson. Las Blancas also signed Kathellen Sousa, Sandie Toletti, Naomie Feller and Caroline Weir, recently.
