Rhiannon Roberts joins Real Betis, moving from Liverpool. She signed a two-year contract, until June 2025.
The 32-year-old played for Blackburn Rovers and Doncaster Rovers before signing with Liverpool in 2018. During the last five years, the Welsh centre-back played 96 matches for the Reds and helped the team achieved promotion to the Women’s Super League. Roberts is also a regular in the national team with over 50 caps to her name.
“Absolutely delighted to announced that I have signed for Real Betis. Joining such a prestigious and historic club that is recognized on the world stage is a proud moment,” wrote Roberts on Twitter.
