Rinsola Babajide moves to Real Betis on a free transfer after contract termination with Liverpool. She signed a contract until the end of the next season.
The 23-year-old played for Millwall, Watford and Liverpool. With the Reds, English forward played in the Women’s Super League until they got relegated in 2020. In the first half of the current season, Babajide, who can also play for Nigeria, was loaned to Brighton and Hove Albion. After four seasons, she is leaving Liverpool with 58 matches played and 21 goals scored. Real Betis will be her first experience abroad.
“I play as a winger and obviously Amoros (Betis coach) has seen me play in England, so I guess he will expect me to use my speed to help score goals and also assist. My attributes I would say are speed and strength, as well as my ability on the ball. I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and hopefully they can enjoy watching me play,” Babajide said in the first interview for the club’s TV.
