Salma Paralluelo joins FC Barcelona from Villarreal. She signed a long-term contract that will keep her in Catalunya until June 2026.
One of the biggest Spanish talents started her career with Zaragoza CFF, but soon moved to Villarreal. During three years with the Yellow Submarine, the 18-year-old winger already played 37 matches, split between Reto and Liga Iberdrola. Paralluelo, who was also a talented track athlete, will now focus solely on football, looking to make her way into Blaugrana’s team.
“It’s been hard to give up a track and field career, but I had to make the move, and it couldn’t have been in a better place. It’s the best team in the world. Being here is a privilege. I’m really looking forward to learning, listening and catching the best of all the players,” said Paralluelo, who is fifth summer arrival for Barcelona, joining Geyse Ferreira, Laia Codina, Lucy Bronze and Nuria Rabano
