Sara Monforte stays on Villarreal bench

Sara Monforte stays on Villarreal bench and will stay in charge also in the next season.

The 42-year-old was appointed Villarreal’s coach in 2016 after she finished her playing career in Zaragoza. The Spanish coach took the team from lower leagues and achieved promotion to Liga F in 2020/21 season. With 130 matches on the bench, Monforte will enter her third season in the top tier of the Spanish women’s football with the Yellow submarine.

“For me this is very important, this is my home. We want to consolidate Villarreal in the Liga F,” Said Monforte.
