Sevillan derby to be played in Ramón Sánchez stadium

The Sevillan derby between Sevilla FC and Real Betis is to be played in Ramón Sánchez stadium, to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The Liga Iberdrola, Matchday 23 duel will take place on Saturday, 5th of March. The hosts, Sevilla FC, announced that the game against their city rivals, Real Betis, will be played on Sevilla’s stadium, where men’s games usually take place. The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium with a capacity of 43,883 will host the women’s game again after many years without doing so. Sevilla is currently on the 8th place, but just two points ahead of 10th place Real Betis.
