Sofía García new member of Sporting Huelva

Sporting Huelva announced the transfer of Sofia Garcia Gaviria. Colombian defender will join the Spanish side from  who comes from the Deportivo Independiente Medellín Formas Íntimas. The 20-year-old can play as a right and center back.

Sofia was very excited for her first abroad experience and joins her fellow Colombians Korina and Mayra Ramirez. “I have not yet spoken with them but I hope to do it soon. With Mayra I had the opportunity to play, with Korina not yet but I know her and I have seen her play. I have a good relationship with Mayra, we have been together in several international actions and we cooporate great there,” Garcia said.

I am very eager to go out and get on the field as soon as possible. I know that we have important games coming up and I hope to get there to contribute a lot to the team and help to achieve the goals they have,” Colombian added. “I am aware of the responsibility and will do my best to do what I am asked. Everything is a challenge, but I am happy to face it and bring the best to the club”, said new signing of Sporting Huelva that currently sits on 15th position in Liga Iberdrola.
