Sydny Nasello moves to Granadilla Tenerife

Sydny Nasello moves to Granadilla Tenerife after graduating from the University of South Florida. She signed until the end of the season with an option for two more years.

This will be the first professional contract for the 21-year-old, who was recently picked on the NSWL draft as a 13th pick by Portland Thorns, but was not offered a contract. For her university, the American forward, scored 11 goals in 19 matches in 2021.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity to come to UDG Tenerife, and to share the team with the great group of players there. It’s incredible to be able to come to Primera Iberdrola, to be able to play in Spain and have my first opportunity as a professional here,” said Nasello.

The American is the last addition to Granadilla’s team in the transfer window. Giovana dos Santos, Luca Deza and Noelia Ramos have already moved to Tenerife in the past weeks.
