Xènia Pérez joins Atlético Madrid

Xènia Pérez joins Atlético Madrid from RCD Espanyol. She signed a three-year contract keeping her in the Spanish capital until June 2025.

The 20-year-old played in Espanyol her whole career. Making her way up in the club’s academy, the Spanish centre-back debuted in the senior team in the 2019/20 season. Before the Barcelona based club got relegated from Liga Iberdrola, Pérez palyed 23 matches in the top flight of the Spanish women’s football.

“For me, signing for Atlético de Madrid is a pride and a very nice responsibility. I’m really looking forward to starting, getting to know the team, enjoying myself here and achieving all the objectives,” said Pérez.
