Zala Meršnik joins Sporting Huelva from Turbine Potsdam. She penned a two-year deal with the Spanish club.
The 21-year-old started senior career in her homeland of Slovenia with ŽNK Pomurje. In 2019, the talented goalkeeper moved to Germany, when she signed for Turbine Potsdam. After a total of 17 appearances, the Slovenian international moves to Liga Iberdrola for the first time in her career. Huelva already signed Sofia Hagman, Patrycja Balcerzak, Patrícia Hmírová and Laura Blasco recently.
“I’m very excited to play in the Spanish league. The Spanish league is a competitive league, one of the best in Europe. It has very fast soccer, with many great players and I’m really looking forward to being there to learn and give my best all season,” said Meršnik.
