Amparito renews, Paula Nicart joins Sevilla from RCD Espanyol, who got relegated in the last season.

Amparito Delgado is one of the longest-serving players in the club. The 28-year-old have been in Andalusia her whole career and will start her 15th season with the club. In the last season, the Spanish midfielder played in 23 matches in Liga Iberdrola.

“I am proud to be able to continue for another year and defend the shield I love so much, every year I enjoy being in the team of my life. I hope to be able to continue making history with the club, with the beautiful and exciting project that is being proposed,” said Amparito.

Paula Nicart began her career in the Barcelona B team. Later she joined local clubs such as Levante Las Planas and Sant Gabriel, before making a move to Valencia in the 2014/15 season. There she played for 6 seasons, also under the guidance of current Sevilla’s coach, Christian Toro. After problems with injuries, the Catalan centre-back joined Espanyol last year and made 30 appearances and scored two goals.

“For me Sevilla FC has always been a club that has attracted my attention and, knowing that my contract with Espanyol was running out, I think there was some interest on both sides and we moved forward,” added Nicart.
