Joe Montemurro stays on Juventus bench for at least three additional seasons, until June 2026.
The 53-year-old transitioned to women’s football coaching in 2014 when she took over Melbourne City. Year later, he sat on Melbourne Victory bench, where he stayed for three seasons. In 2017, Montemurro took charge in Arsenal, with which he won Women’s Super League in the 2018/19 season. Bianconere appointed him as a head coach in 2021 and he managed to lead the team to historic treble in his first season. Last season wasn’t as successful, but Juventus still won Coppa Italia.
Juventus will start the season against the Kazakh side Okzhetpes in the Women’s Champions League qualifications.
