Julia Karlernäs moves to FC Como

Julia Karlernäs moves to FC Como from a Swedish side, BK Häcken.

The 28-year-old spent most of her career in Sweden, where she played for Mallbackens IF, Hammarby, Piteå IF and, most recently, BK Häcken. The Swedish midfielder also spent one season with Sevilla FC in Liga Iberdrola. In total, Karlernäs played over 200 matches in Damallsvenskan.

“I’m very excited and happy to move to Como Women and start the new season. It’s a great club, with great ambitions and I can’t wait to start training with the team,” added Karlernäs, who is Como’s latest arrival, joining Nina Stapelfeldt, Camilla Linberg, Malin Brenn, Joyce Borini, Darya Kravets, Elisa Carravetta and Maria Korenčiova.
