Katja Schroffenegger extends with Fiorentina and will stay with Viola at least until the end of the next season.
The 32-year-old played for Brixen and Südtirol in Italy before embarking an adventure abroad and joining Jena in Germany. Followed by spells with FC Bayern and Bayern Leverkusen, the Italian goalkeeper returned to her homeland. After one season with Inter and one with Florentia, Schroffenegger joined Fiorentina in 2020.
“I’m happy because I see a team that has a great future ahead and our new home – Viola Park – is a dream structure. I hope to be able to make an important contribution to this team,” said Schroffenegger.
