Oihane Valdezate makes Roma move from Athletic Club Bilbao. She signed a three-year contract, until June 2026.
The 23-year-old leaves Spain to play abroad for the first time in her career, after coming through Athletic Club B-team. The Spanish defender played a total of 122 matches for the Basque Country club, which jersey she worn since 2016. In Roma, Valdezate joins Eseosa Aigbogun, Tinja-Riikka Korpela, Laura Feiersinger, Barbara Latorre and Saki Kumagai, who also signed for Giallorosse during the current transfer window.
“I am very happy that a great club like Roma wanted to bet on me to be able to achieve the most ambitious team goals. I am very excited to start this adventure and I can’t wait to play in the Women’s Champions League where I hope that with hard work we can go as far as possible,” added Valdezate.
