Malin Sunde joins Fiorentina from a Danish side, Brondby. She signed a contract until the end of the season, with an option for an additional year.
The 21-year-old grew up in the Rosenborg academy, where she debuted on the senior level. Later, the Norwegian defender moved to Sandviken. After a brief spell, she joined Brondby in 2020. In the two seasons with the Danish champions, Malin also debuted in the Women’s Champions League.
“I think Fiorentina is a nice club, I’ve heard a lot of it. It is a club with a winning mentality, and it will be very interesting to be here,” said Malin.
Viola have been very active in the current transfer window. Vero Boquete, Valentina Giacinti, Federica Russo and Ronja Aronsson have already moved to Tuscany.
