Valentina Giacinti joins Fiorentina on loan from AC Milan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has been with Rossonere since 2018, when the women’s team was founded. The top scorer of Serie A Femminile on three occasions, will now follow her teammate Vero Boquete, who also signed for Fiorentina. The duo left Milan after Milan’s coach, Maurizio Ganz failing-out. Giacinti, who was stripped of Milan captaincy some time ago, has not been in the squad for Italian Super Cup Final 4 and will leave Rossonere despite extending her contract in the summer.
“I picked Fiorentina above all because they are investing a lot in the women’s football, including with the new Viola park. I also chose Viola because Patrizia Panico has always been my role model growing up, and I want to grow further under her supervising,” said Giacinti.
