Valentina Giacinti makes Roma move from their league rivals, AC Milan. She signed a three-year contract that will keep her in the Eternal city until June 2025.
The 28-year-old has become one of the best strikers in Serie A Femminile. After playing for Atalanta, Napoli, Mozzanica and Brescia, she joined Milan in 2018. Giacinti became AC Milan top goalscorer of all-time, but spent the second half of the season on loan with Fiorentina. In total, the Italian international, with 41 caps, played 233 matches and scored 182 goals in the Italian top flight.
“I chose to sign for Roma because the club is investing significantly in the women’s game and with each passing year they keep showing just how much they want to succeed. I’m encouraged, I have a good feeling and I cannot wait to start this new chapter of my football career,” Giacinti said. Giallorosse already signed Stephanie Ohrstrom, Norma Cinotti and Elin Landstrom for the new season.
