Adriana Leon joins Aston Villa

Adriana Leon joins Aston Villa from a fellow Women’s Super League side, Manchester United. She penned a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old arrived to the Women’s Super League in 2019, when she joined West Ham United. After three years in London, the Canadian winger signed for Manchester United last year but made only 9 appearances for the Red Devils. Leon, who brings plenty of experience from the NWSL, spent the last few months on loan with Portland Thorns.

“It’s exciting, it’s great to be here! I can finally get started with the team, things are off to a good start. I am thrilled to be here,” added Leon, who joins Kirsty Hanson and Lucy Parker as the latest newcomer.
