Alsu Abdullina signs for Chelsea and moves abroad for the first time in her career. She signed a contract until June 2024.
The 20-year-old started her senior career with Chertanovo Moscow before making a switch to city rivals, Locomotiv in 2020. In total, the Russian left-back made over 70 appearances in the highest level of the Russian women’s football. Abdullina became Russian champion with her team in the last season. Despite her young age, she is quite experienced on the international stage, with 30 caps for the Russian national team.
“I am so happy to join Chelsea. This is a big change in my life, a new challenge. I am very proud to be part of this team, which has so many great players. I want to continue to develop as a player and progress in London. I want to help the team to win as many trophies as possible,” said Abdullina for the club’s website.
